Senior Choir

The senior choir at Windsor United Church is a core component in the music program. Typically performing 2-3 anthems/month, the choir has between 20 and 27 singers on any given Sunday. The choir provides leadership in hymns and displays excellent musicianship in a variety of musical styles. We welcome new members at any time and are always on the look out for men to join the group. Practices are from 7-8:30PM on Wednesday evenings.

Junior Choir

Under the direction of Sharon Churchill Roe, the Jr. Choir is a delight to the congregation at Windsor United. Children aged 5 and up are welcomed to join. Rehearsing on Sunday mornings from 10-10:30 and performing regularly throughout the church year, the group is an excellent opportunity for young singers to learn to sing.

Handbells

Performing, on average, every month and a half, the handbell group at Windsor United is well established and capable of some inspiring music. Using a 4 octave English handbell set and a 3 octave set of chimes, 11-13 ringers perform music specifically written for groups of this type. We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30pm.

Orchestra

Under the direction of Dr. David W. Roe, the orchestra accompanies hymns and plays special music at services approximately once every month and a half and at special services like Easter and Christmas Eve. New members of any level are welcomed. Rehearsal times vary depending on the upcoming schedule but are usually after the Sunday service on week’s preceding performances.

“The United”

A band consisting of 2 guitars, 2 keyboards, drums, and bass, “The United” adds a contemporary flavour to services about once a month. Current members include Barb Hughes, Ben Robertson, Erica Porter, Sean MacDonald, Steve Roe, and Wayne Levy.
