REGION 15 (BERMUDA-NOVA SCOTIA) LAY REPRESENTATIVES

AUTHORITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

Authorized by and accountable to the Official Board (0B) of Windsor United Church

MANDATE:

To represent WUC and as voting members at the Annual Bermuda-Nova Scotia Regional Council Meedng.

To report information and experiences from the Annual Regional Council Meedng to the 0B or the congregadon.

To be aware of Regional Council announcements through the Regional Council Newsletter.

MEMBERSHIP:

Bermuda-Nova Scotia Regional Council grants representation based on the total of parish adherents and members. Windsor United Church elects 3 representadves at its Annual Congregational Meedng

FUNCTIONS:

To develop a connection with the broader United Church of Canada and our Bermuda Nova Scotia Regional Council.

To report and explain Regional Council acåvities from the representative's experience and perspective as deemed of importance to WUC congregants. To gain insights from educational sessions at the Annual Council that may be meaningful to the representative or relevant to WUC interests.

To report on motions, remittances and new of Ben-nuda-Nova Scotia Council.

To jointly prepare a submission for the Annual Report ofWUC and respond to quesdons at the Annual Congregadonal Meedng.

To orient and assist new members elected to attend Regional Council. (opdonal: to serve on committees of Regional Council)

OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES:

To meet and to coordinate plans prior to registration for Regional Council meetings.

• To meet following Regional Council to discuss and plan next steps for reporting.
